This VR80 has the Generation Two backplate on the right in the last image. Generation Two backplates work with Serial Numbers R058066 and up. This VR80 is SN R099904. The VR80 newer models; this VR80, use the one on the right; Generation Two. The VR80 comes from the factory with a commercial two-piece buffer tube, designed to attach to the factory oversized thumbhole stock to meet ATF regulations for importation purposes. This backplate is designed to allow you to upgrade to a Mil-spec AR-15 collapsible stock. This backplate will also allow the use of a sling. NOTE: The inside diameter of the backplate is slightly small to take the included UTG collapsible stock. You will have to take a Dremel type grinder and shave off at most 1/16 inch; probably less at maybe 1/32 inch for the tube to slide in. Shaving a bit from the inside diameter will not affect the VR80 functions. It will allow you to use the UTG collapsible stock in place of the factory large thumbhole stock; nothing more and nothing less. I already did a dry fit. If you have ANY doubt please conduct your independent research. These backplates are also available at a few vendors for $34 to $40 on average.
Shipping is UPS Ground at actual cost. Go to the UPS website and at bottom you can get a shipping quote from my ZIP of 29412 in Charleston SC to your ZIP Code. Shipping is via UPS Ground in two packages. One will be the VR80 and original items in original box. I will over box that for shipment. Maximum 16 pounds measuring maximum of 46 by 12 by 16 inches. Accessories and the four 9 round mags are in a separate box of 11 pounds measuring 12 by 12 by 10 inches. I must ship the VR80 box to your FFL. I can ship the other box directly to you if requested. If not requested, both will be shipped UPS Ground to you FFL. Both boxes secured with strapping tape and for the VR80 box I add Top Of Load and Do Not Lay Flat stickers on both sides.
If you live under a "government"; or it is your FFL policy, that requires a FFL to FFL transfer I will not normally be able be able to accommodate that. The logistics of extra driving, my FFL's fees and added packing charges (remember I do not charge for packing and boxing) can add $50 to $100 per firearm. However, I will consider this on a case by case basis BEFORE a bid. So, if you have this FFL to FFL issue; contact me first. Thank you.
BUYERS must read the Additional Terms of Sale as I am a private seller and am not a FFL. Potential buyers must check with their FFL before a bid to ensure acceptance. I am not able to keep current and know the laws of each state, city or locality. As of May 18, 2020; I will NO LONGER divert or reship any shipment at my cost unless I make an error in shipping. If diversion, reshipment or return costs are incurred or necessary; buyer must send me funds up front to cover all added costs and Hold Me Harmless. If not done I will have to let you or your receiver refuse or accept the shipment; if buyer fails to understand the listing terms.
In May 2020 I had a buyer agree to pay for re-routing, return and other costs as his FFL could not accept the firearm from an individual. This was revealed AFTER I had shipped the firearm. The buyer then defrauded me; after agreeing for 13 days to pay the added costs, out of $102.37 in added costs when he "changed his mind". I did not charge for my time and effort or miscellaneous costs to ship. Sorry to be so blunt; however, I will not deal with this again.
I do not normally ship to certain states and cities that restrict firearms. If you have ANY doubt contact me before a bid.
With the virus issues impacting our great country; there may be delays in UPS shipping time or other delivery issues. If you are not willing to accept the possibility of delays or other delivery issues and hold me harmless, you should not bid. Questions on shipping should be directed to UPS as once I drop off your purchase with UPS, I have no control. Thank you.
Hopefully I have covered everything. Sold AS IS. There is No Return and No Refund. However, please inspect on receipt and if damaged or not as listed, contact me within 24 hours. If damaged on receipt (keep shipping box) or if I missed something significant, I will resolve it. Request you ask any questions before you bid. Thank you for looking. My dog rescues say WOOF!
